Becoming an SSR involves several significant educational and accreditation steps. Because we have met these requirements, we can offer you all three levels of SureStart PLUS extended warranty coverage.

ShingleMaster Company™ (SMC)

Becoming a ShingleMaster requires a commitment to professionalism and dedication to quality craftsmanship that few other roofing companies can demonstrate. Certified Home Remodelers has key employees who participate in CertainTeed’s educational programs and know the requirements for installing a high-quality roof system. As SMC we are authorized to offer you SureStart PLUS 3-STAR and 4-STAR extended warranty coverage.

Master Shingle Applicator™ (MSA)

All of Certified Home Remodeler's installers have the Master Single Applicator™ credential. Based on the Shingle Applicator’s Manual, installers have mastered the approved procedures for proper shingle installation as well as commonly accepted trade practices. Only those contractors who have mastered every aspect of shingle installation earn the MSA credential.

Quality Master™

Another educational program, based on the Shingle Technology Manual, provides contractors with comprehensive knowledge of asphalt shingles – how they’re made, and what to look for in a quality product. Certified Home Remodelers holds this credential having taken the time to study the complexities of asphalt shingle technology so we can explain the performance differences to you.
